why cracking happen in south Sudan

South Sudanese society in upper Nile state are living in a hart time because of war that  destroy their heart before independence to the cracking of the houses that they are facing . Then, what are the causes of this cracking? Is it from foundation movement, wrong methods of construction or bad quality material? How is the new generation going to face it?

Foundation movements and settling of buildings

This black cotton soil is one of the reasons of cracking of the houses in south Sudan Malakal, and the big challenges that are facing us is; How do we make a house that cannot crack in this type of soil? What are the foundations that need it for that earth?

wrong method of construction (Using of the ¾ brick in building)

Most houses in south Sudan are cracking because same builder are not using the real ¾ brick, when they are constructing houses. Just they cut bricks that fill the gap that they need in the place, they are not caring about the result, because they are looking for money rather than quality of the work.
Could you please help me to know the important of using ½, ¾ and queen closer in construction? Where did we put them in building? How do I make sure that the one that am using will make a good join?

Bad quality materials

to make a good building that is needed by the society, it needs some of the tools and machine that can help a builder to make a good quality of the building. And within those tools and material, are the tools that use for cutting brick according to the size that needed to be use in building
Cracking that happen for this wall according to my analysis is start from the corner, then it goes to other part of the wall, which means if there is a good join in the corner, it will not affect the whole wall.
How to we find good tools for cutting? What can we do to make builder understand the important of proper bonding in building?
